I have been doing photography since I was 15 — at a city-run darkroom in San Francisco. I think I was initially influenced by Ansel Adams, but when I was a teacher in West Africa for three years (where there were no dramatic landscapes), I learned more about photographic people.

Since then my photographic interests have been very diverse. There are so many interesting things in the world. I have had exhibitions and, prizes and been a photography instructor at a university along the way. I currently live in Boston, MA.
